| Rose & Sophia went to their forever home in Georgia on August 19, 2000. Their mom, Jennifer, wrote the following update of their life together: |
| "I
found Rose and Sophia by sheer luck. From the first time I saw
those sweet faces on the website, I knew I had to do everything I could
to adopt them. It was all I talked about to my family and friends; I was
constantly checking my email to see if there was any news on my
application. The waiting was killing me! Finally, I got the great
news that I could come and get the girls.
My mother went with me to Atlanta on a Friday afternoon and we picked them up first thing Saturday morning. I will always remember that day. The girls took right to me; it was love at first sight, like we had always been together. It was a five hour drive home and they got all cozy in the car and off to dreamland they went. I have recently gone through a tough time and I am so grateful I had my girls to help me through it. Everyday they do something different to make me smile, and I can't imagine my world without them. They are a very special part of my life and my family. I believe it was fate that sent Rose and Sophia my way. To anyone out there who is thinking of adopting, take it from me, it is well worth all the love and devotion you will receive. They are truly my furbabies!" |
